How we do it

Shops, offices and units. On a high street the scaffold has to keep the public safe and let the business keep trading, so we use fans overhead and guarded tubes at ground level.

Used for

  • Shopfronts and upper floors
  • Offices and units
  • Pavement scaffolds (council licence needed)
  • Fans and protected walkways

Lift 03How scaffold hire works

Four steps. No surprises.

  1. 01

    Survey and quote

We come out, look at the job and measure up. You get a clear price and a date for it to go up.

  2. 02

    Up it goes

We arrive on the agreed day and build it. Boards, guardrails, ladders and ties, checked before your trades step on.

  3. 03

    Changes as you go

Jobs change. If your roofer needs a lift higher or a section moving, call us and we'll adapt it.

  4. 04

    Down and away

When the work's done, ring us. We strike it, load it and leave the place as we found it.

First time hiring?

The questions we get asked most. If yours isn’t here, just ring.

How is scaffold hire priced?

Every job is priced after we've seen it. Height, length, access and how long you need it all change the price, so we don't quote blind. You'll have the price before anything goes up.

How long does it take to go up and come down?

It depends on the size of the job. We'll give you the dates when we quote, so you can book your trades around it.

What if my job overruns?

It happens, usually because of the weather. Let us know as early as you can and we'll talk it through.

Do my neighbours need to know?

If the scaffold has to stand on their land, or over it, you need their permission first. Even when it doesn't, a quick word before we arrive keeps everyone happy. We'll tell you at the survey if it affects next door.

Do I need a licence for scaffolding on the pavement?

Yes. Any scaffold on a pavement or road needs a licence from the council: Buckinghamshire Council, or Hertfordshire County Council over the border. We'll tell you at the survey if your job needs one.
